It's D-Day (Departure Day) for BigTrip2!!!!

We're all packed, have a house sitter sorted, car booked, flights checked in, now we just have to wait (and perhaps do a bit of cleaning!) for the hour to click around and we can leave home on out second big adventure.  Unlike last time, Sharon is not feeling sick which is a good thing.  Both Max and Jemima are very excited but also are having mixed feelings - both will  miss their friends over summer and George and Maisie (our cats) but they're looking forward to seeing some snow in Switzerland and having some fun.

On our second flight (QF25 - SYD-HND) to Tokyo, we'll be on an Un-refurbished Qantas 747 with the First class seats in the nose of the jumbo.  It will be a unique experience for the family up front where you can almost see forwards out the windows, there's that much of a curvature on the walls of the cabin.  Later, on our flight across the Atlantic, they'll get to experience travelling in the 'hump' of a 747 which will be another new one for them.
