Disneyworld Day 1! - Epcot Center

We're in Orlando! Both Max and Jemima have been waiting for our whole trip to get here.  We've had a pretty hectic few days at Rome and New York, so we figured we would have a slow start to Disneyworld and start with Epcot center - the least kid friendly of the parks we have access to with our six day parkhopper pass.

Daisy Duck and Stitch were on hand for photos

Jemima posing with plant based models of Peter Pan, captain Hook and Minie Mouse!

Max not looking particularly happy about posing in front of plant Pluto
 Jemima with Mary Poppins

Unbelievably good animatronic characters telling the story of the USA

More great animatronic characters in the huge sphere that contains 'Spaceship Earth'

Jemima immediately recognised Michaelangelo painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel - great to see that she is learning things on our trip!

When they covered the age of computers, there was an IBM "Think" sign on the bench - nice to see Disney paying homage to IBM...
At the end of the ride part, there is a large interactive area sponsored by Siemens - very advanced stuff.

Just as we were heading out of the park this afternoon, we came across a terrific percussion group performing for the gathered audience - check the video below, I promise you'll be impressed:

  1. I really dreamed about EPCOT and wanna spend a whole month vacation in Disneyland and Disney Resorts cos a day is not enough to roam around Disney. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
