Yesterday, we went to the Royal Mile in Edinburgh and visited the Museum of Childhood. Lots of old toys brought back memories for Sharon and I and educated Max and Jemima on some of what kids used to play with.
Max thought that Beyblades and their arena were new... I think not!
One for my Dad - a big fan of Meccano
Max and Jemima playing Snakes and Ladders
Die Cast Model Airplanes
Then we walked up the Royal Mile, spin some wool, pay the piper (so to speak) and chat with...
William Wallace (or at least a friendly facsimile of him!!)
Gold Toe!
Look, it's the Tardis!
Next, we toured the H.M.Y. Britannia, which retired in 1997 and is now a tourist attraction in Edinburgh.
