Yesterday, we left the south of England and took a short flight up to Inverness in Scotland. Last time Sharon and I was here, it was late December and very white and very cold - the washer water on our hire car kept freezing up. It's cold on this visit too, but not quite that bad. We had a bit of a look around Inverness yesterday before departing this morning. Initially, we drove down towards Drumnadrochit and caught a tour boat from Clansman harbour on Loch Ness down to Urquhart Castle and back. We looked for Nessie, but no luck on this occasion.
