Stonehenge

It was so close to Nicole and Rob's and on our way to Hastings so we had to go via Stonehenge. It's an awesome piece of work. At first the kids were really disinterested in a whole load of rocks stuck in the ground, that was until they listened to the audio guides as we walked around. It was fascinating to hear the theories about what Stonehenge was created for and by who, and to learn the methods used to transport, carve and assemble the stone circles. The science, engineering and mathematics behind its construction are just mind boggling, especially when you consider it's thousands and thousands of years old - prehistoric. Even though it didn't take us long to walk around, I'm really glad we went.
